SPRING HEELED JACK

A warning to all naughty children - a goblin steals the voices of troublesome youngsters while they sleep in this gothic short animation, directed by Geof Wolfenden. Jack is a menace with springs for heels, to help him jump from rooftop to rooftop in this dark fairytale - that has a pinch of Grimm’s Tales and a spoonful of Tim Burton, in an original and highly visual mix.

Because these are very light and mounted on the shoulder, you can make them angle and move by rolling your shoulders. The size in the video is gratuitous, but a pair of small wings works really really well for all kinds of posturing and effects (I did a smaller pair for a bird costume.)
